Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who thrives in an adaptive, fast-changing environment and can take ownership of core accounting functions with minimal oversight. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, handling detailed reconciliations, and driving month-end close activities with accuracy and urgency. As our organization continues to modernize and streamline processes-this position will play a key role in supporting operational improvements and ensuring the integrity of our financial data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual account and bank reconciliations in Excel with a high degree of independence and accuracy.
  • Own end-to-end month-end close processes, including journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet schedules, with a strong emphasis on prepaids and other recurring accruals.
  • Work extensively in QuickBooks (preferred), supporting daily accounting activities and ensuring financial data accuracy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and leadership to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.
  • Contribute to departmental process documentation and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior Accountant with hands-on ownership of core accounting functions.
  • Extensive experience performing manual reconciliations and month-end close activities in Excel.
  • Strong command of Excel, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs and comfort with basic Pivot Tables.
  • Demonstrated experience with journal entries, bank/account reconciliations, and balance sheet preparation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using QuickBooks (highly beneficial but not required).
  • Strong cultural alignment: adaptable, collaborative, supportive, comfortable asking questions, and eager to learn.
  • Experience interacting with cross-functional departments and supporting accounting process improvements.

Day in the Life

  • Spend significant time working in QuickBooks, updating accounts, reviewing entries, and ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Perform manual reconciliations daily and lead key components of the month-end close process.
  • Support expense management operations
